Zac Efron’s friends fear drug relapse after Skid Row brawl

Cops aren’t the only ones skeptical about Zac Efron‘s ill-fated trip to Los Angeles’ Skid Row; his friends are suspicious, too.

Those close to the troubled actor, 26, fear that he’s fallen into drugs again despite his claim that he was headed to get sushi, reports TMZ.

“Zac’s a loner,” a source told the gossip site. “He goes out rarely and the idea of him driving for miles to go to some sushi restaurant in downtown L.A. after midnight is preposterous.”

The former “High School Musical” star and a man he claimed was his bodyguard were involved in a brawl with at least three other people early Sunday morning.

During the altercation Efron was punched in the mouth.

“It was the hardest I’ve ever been hit in my life,” he allegedly told police at the time.

Besides finding his explanation for the incident strange, sources also think the actor never actually went to rehab last year, instead relying on “private therapy” to kick his cocaine habit.

And in addition, it’s been reported that Efron’s “bodyguard”  is actually a convicted drug dealer.

The unnamed man, who has a long rap sheet, has been spending a lot of time with the actor despite the protests of friends, the site reports.
