The wait is over.
The official Twitter account for “Fifty Shades of Grey” released a first look at Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian, in honor of the fictional character’s 31st birthday on Wednesday.
The Irish actor, 32, revealed in April that he’s over tying knots — a key plot point.
“There are a couple of classic knots I know now,” Dornan told The Guardian. “I’ve put them to good use far too many times recently. In fact, I’d like to do a job where I don’t have to tie women to beds.”
Dakota Johnson, 24, will play female lead Anastasia Steele.
The steamy film hits theaters in February 2015.
