Photographer Jesse Frohman unveiled his pictures of Kurt Cobain at Dream Downtown Thursday, telling us the late Nirvana singer was “pretty high,” during his 1993 shoot.
“I met him at the door, and he said, ‘Hi, do you have a bucket?’ ” Frohman told us at the party hosted by Blondie rocker Chris Stein. “I said, ‘Sure, what would you need a bucket for?’ and he says, ‘Because I think I’m gonna puke.’ ”
Frohman says they were supposed to shoot in a park, but ended up in a conference room of the band’s hotel where Cobain, who died in April 1994, turned up for a half-hour of the scheduled five-hour shoot.
