Laverne Cox has a type.
“I dated a lot of Jewish men,” the transgender “Orange Is the New Black” actress said on “Chelsea Lately” Wednesday. “I’d like to think of myself as the nation’s premiere black transgender shiksa.”
Cox chalked up her dating preferences to location and noted that there are lots of Jewish men in New York. “They seem to like me and I like them and we get along,” she quipped.
The “Trans Teen” producer confirmed she’s dating someone special, but added there are no labels just yet.
When Handler, 39, asked Cox if she informs men about identifying as transgender, Cox replied that she’s “always been very clear about it.”
“To really protect myself, I’ve always been completely upfront right away,” she explained. “I’m like, ‘I’m trans. If you have a problem with that you can move on now. If you don’t, let’s get to know each other.'”
