Jay-Z and Beyoncé hit Sports Illustrated’s Sportsman of the Year awards to support Miami Heat star LeBron James when he received the night’s top honor Wednesday. James told a crowd at Espace his mentors are the rapper, and Olympic coach Mike Krzyzewski. “I got Coach K and Jay to call from Akron, Ohio,” James said, referring to his hometown. “To call anytime I want for advice, for anything. It’s unbelievable to see where I’ve come from.” He also thanked fiancée Savannah Brinson.
