Meryl Streep won an Oscar playing Margaret Thatcher earlier this year, and she hosted a screening Wednesday for another historic drama, “Lincoln,” in honor of its writer Tony Kushner. On top of Daniel Day-Lewis’ acclaimed performance, “Meryl told the crowd to lean forward in their seats and listen to every word,” said a spy at the MoMA event, where guests included Caroline Kennedy, Hope Davis, Michael Cimino and TR Knight.
