Model who lost eye, hand felt bad omens before her accident

Beautiful blonde model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs was overcome with inexplicable fear and trepidation the morning before she walked into a plane’s propeller and lost her left eye and left hand in December of 2011.

“I didn’t know why, because I don’t usually have fear like that,” Scruggs told E! News.

“I just remember being in it and kind of grabbing onto the side of the seat and praying,” Scruggs said of the fateful plane ride.

“I just remember getting off of the plane and my feet touching the ground, and that’s all I remember.”

Cheryl, Scruggs’ mother, who witnessed the scarring aftermath of the accident said the incident still causes her to become overwhelmed with emotion.

“I ran outside and I could see Lauren lying face-down on the ground,” Cheryl said through tears. “She wasn’t moving, she was lying in a pool of blood — I mean, it was all around her. All I had at that moment was God.”

Amazingly, Scruggs survived the accident, which Cheryl described as a scene straight out of a horror movie.

“As I started praying for her she started to make some sounds that I had never heard out of a human being, groaning and making some loud noises but that was a blessing because I realized she was alive.”

Scruggs did survive the accident but she didn’t realize what happened until she woke up two weeks later in a hospital where her twin sister Brittany explained what happened.

As Lauren slowly recovered, Brittany revealed that the bond between the twins extended to the almost supernatural level.

“Before the accident, she felt that I was going to die,” Scruggs revealed. “She didn’t tell me that because that would freak me out. And then the accident happened.”
