Daniel Craig wants out of playing James Bond, but he’s trapped. “I’ve been trying to get out of this from the very moment I got into it,” he tells Rolling Stone of signing to play 007 in two films after “Skyfall.” “But they won’t let me go, and I’ve agreed to do a couple more, but let’s see how this one does, because business is business and if the [bleep] goes down, I’ve got a contract that somebody will happily wipe their ass with.” Since the film’s already made $287 million overseas, we doubt producer Barbara Broccoli will be using Craig’s contract as toilet paper. A New York premiere was moved to Monday because of Sandy, and Craig, who couldn’t make it, had a message for the Ziegfeld crowd: “I know it’s Monday night, but I beg you please, get drunk.” Also at the Tribeca Film Institute benefit screening and party at MoMA were Seth Meyers, Trudie Styler, Sting and
Roger Waters. [See
