‘Jersey Shore’ cast ‘devastated’ after Hurricane Sandy

With most of New Jersey’s shoreline left in ruins, the beach town’s most infamous residents are speaking up about their devastation following Hurricane Sandy’s destruction.

“The town is such a big part of our lives,” Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio tells In Touch. “We have so many memories there.”

Pauly D, along with his six castmates of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” are devastated to see the area in ruins.

“The boardwalk was our home,” says Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

“Seaside is my second home, the places I’ve visited since my childhood – the restaurants, the beach clubs, the neighborhoods, have all been destroyed,” Ronnie Ortiz-Magro said.

Miraculously, the infamous “Shore” house and the T-shirt shop where the cast worked the past three summers survived Sandy’s wrath. Still, the cast has plans to pitch in and rebuild the iconic shore.

“I spoke with Danny and the T-shirt shop has some damage, but he wants to start rebuilding as soon as possible,” Deena Cortese said to the magazine.

“I’m happy the shore house survived, but it’s bittersweet knowing the town I’ve called home for so many summers has been hit so hard,” added Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

The cast will appear on a Nov. 15 benefit on MTV to help aid reconstruction.
