Sen. Gillibrand: Full-term blowout

Kirsten Gillibrand and her team celebrated her election to a full six-year US Senate term and President Obama’s later victory at Midtown’s Three Monkeys bar on Tuesday night. After defeating Republican challenger Wendy Long and telling supporters in her victory speech, “Tonight is such an important night for the direction of our country,” Gillibrand and her friends and aides “arrived with heavy security around 11 p.m., and departed after President Obama’s speech,” according to a spy. We’re told Gillibrand and her well-dressed group of 50 occupied a private room and “ate, drank cocktails, wine and draft beer, and celebrated while watching the results. She was joking and greeting guests warmly.”
