Jennifer Lawrence once again dons bright blue mutant skin to reprise her role as Mystique in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
Director Bryan Singer tweeted the pic of the Oscar-winner from the Montreal set of “X-Men.”
“First look: #JenniferLawrence as a vengeful #Mystique. #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast,” he captioned with the snap.
Lawrence first played the shape-shifting femme fatale in the 2011 film “X-Men: First Class” after model-actress Rebecca Romijn originated the role in earlier “X-Men” flicks.
“It was awful, I was hungry for five months,” she told the Telegraph about her strict diet for the role, that also included twice-a-day workouts for five months to achieve Mystique’s lean, toned physique.
Lawrence also endured eight hours of body makeup application every day for the character, a process where her nude body had to be shaved and coated with layers of blue body paint and then topped with silicone scales.
“It was a long process,” she said. “I just got tired thinking about it. I have scars.”
