Mariah Carey tweets photo of dislocated shoulder

Mariah Carey was rushed to a hospital after painfully dislocating her shoulder on the set of her latest video. The superstar was taken to New York’s Hospital for Special Surgery, on the Upper East Side. late Sunday night to have the shoulder reset, sources exclusively tell Page Six. Carey’s spokeswoman, Cindi Berger, confirmed to us that “Mariah was injured while filming a video for the remix of ‘#Beautiful’ directed by her husband, Nick Cannon,” that “she was taken to the hospital late [Sunday] night” and that “she is fine and is recovering at home.” The songstress had created a new mix of her hit “#Beautiful,” which was originally recorded with Miguel and rapper Young Jeezy, and they were filming a video for the new track, watched over by Cannon, at the Chelsea club Avenue. Another source tells us that Mariah tripped and fell while dancing and singing in her trademark high heels while shooting the video. We’re told that she was taken to the hospital in a private car and stayed overnight. But despite the injury, she still plans to appear on Central Park’s Great Lawn on Saturday in a free concert with Major League Baseball to benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief. A source said, “Mariah will perform — but it is likely that she will have her arm in a sling.” The singer tweeted a photo of her injury while at the hospital this afternoon, writing, “dislocated my shoulder on the remix video with Jeezy, sporting a very fashionable sling for the next couple of weeks!”
