Matthew Morrison is going back to his Broadway roots.
The “Glee” star is in town for three weeks rehearsing for the lead role in the upcoming production “Finding Neverland.” Morrison will play “Peter Pan” creator J.M. Barrie, who was played by Johnny Depp in the 2004 movie.
Morrison is in rehearsals with a cast including Laura Michelle Kelly at New 42nd Street Studio. The musical, with songs by Gary Barlow, starts this summer with an out-of-town run at Boston’s American Repertory Theater.
