Everyone is releasing a memoir these days, including the breakout star of “The Artist,” Uggie the dog. In “Uggie: My Story,” dedicated to his human crush Reese Witherspoon, the four-legged actor-turned-author recounts puppy-dom to retirement and all the ups, downs, and sordid details in between. In one chapter, Uggie recalls getting drunk during a party from a glass of Champagne left on the floor. “I can’t say I especially enjoyed my first sip,” he writes. “The next thing I knew, I was sprawled across my duvet.” He also confesses to murdering a cat, but “I am not proud of it.” Uggie will even go on a book tour starting Oct. 15 at Barnes & Noble New York.
