Hector “Macho” Camacho’s peaceful memorial delved into chaos when a woman claiming to be the Camacho’s girlfriend got into a catfight with boxer’s sister.

Cynthia Castillo, 28, upset Camacho’s family members when she arrived at Tuesday’s wake in Puerto Rico, Fox News Latino reports. Wearing a bright pink T-shirt with a photo of the beloved athlete, she leaned down and kissed the boxer in his coffin. Following the kiss, Castillo entered the designated area reserved for those closest to Camacho.

The incident enraged Camacho’s sisters, especially Gloria Fernandez, who traded verbal jabs at Castillo. Tempers erupted and the two women took their scuffle outside, attracting a group of journalists and police.

After being separated by the police, Castillo told Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Dia her side of the story. She claimed to be the most recent “partner” of Camacho and that his family attacked her for no reason.

She also told reporters, “I am Macho’s current girlfriend and anyone who doesn’t like it will have to swallow it. They attacked me and that can’t happen. They should be grateful because I was there with him.

Castillo was encouraged by authorities to leave the wake while Fernandez and her sisters went back inside.

After the brouhaha, a tense calm was described to settle over the wake as other visitors continued to pay their respects.
