Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre had a private 50-person VIP dinner upstairs at The Darby Tuesday to celebrate the launch of Dre’s new Executive headphones. Singer Skylar Grey gave a surprise performance before the crowd moved downstairs to party. Iovine and Dre, who has a grip on the high-end headphone market, took over a VIP area with Russell Simmons, Ne-Yo, Rita Ora and club gurus Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano. DJ Cassidy got guests dancing by mixing West Coast rap and New York hip- hop while others tried out the headphones.
