‘Times’ titan Sulzberger is engaged

New York Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. is engaged to girlfriend Gabrielle Greene, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

We’re told the couple got engaged several weeks ago and the wedding is set for the summer. Greene is a partner at California-based private equity firm Rustic Canyon/Fontis Partners, and has been dating the Times chief for a year.

The engagement happened before Sulzberger fired executive editor Jill Abramson last week and replaced her with managing editor Dean Baquet.

Sulzberger previously dated philanthropist Claudia Gonzalez, who was said to have played a role in his decision to oust former Times president Janet Robinson.

The marriage would be the second for Sulzberger, who was wed to journo Gail Gregg for 33 years until they split in 2008.

Times rep Eileen Murphy hissed, “This narrative sounds like it was made up right there at The Post, and, as usual, none of it is true.”

Of Sulzberger’s betrothal to Greene, she conceded, “That’s the only part that is true. Everything else is false.”

We hope Sulzberger prefers her management style.
