Of course Sofia Vergara is launching a shapewear line. Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?
The “Modern Family” bombshell is expanding her Kmart collection to include “toning bodysuits, camis, tanks, bustiers, waist-shaping briefs and boyshorts, thigh slimmers, and half and full-slips,” according to WWD.
The actress should know a thing or two about the importance of good coverage. She posted a photo of her shapely rear after her 2012 Emmys gown split from the back and wailed via Tweet before the ceremony, “nothing fits meeee!!!!”
She told WWD, “Usually, when I go to an event I wear shapewear.…It’s not to hold anything in, but to smooth everything out.…But I do have to wear a bra with everything.”
The curvy stunner continued that each of the undergarments have been Vergara-approved. “I’m not really a designer but my lines are based on what I like and what I wear. We have a lot of meetings and all of the product gets tried on by me.”
The items run M to 2X and items with built-in bras contain cups sized from 36C to 38DD and 40D. The line is priced from $14.99 to $23.99 and should be in 800 Kmart stores this June.
Vergara told the trade, “My shapewear launch is very exciting and really fun for me because the colors and materials are so sexy.”
