Fired ND anchor called parents after on-air flub

A.J. Clemente, the North Dakota anchor who was fired his first day on the job for accidentally cursing on-air in what would become a viral video, tells Page Six, “I was devastated.” “I went home, called my parents and they were like, ‘Look, you can either run with this or stay in Bismarck for six months and don’t talk to anybody,’” he told us at the premiere for “Love Is All You Need,” where he was reporting for Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan for “Live!” “I brushed myself off,” Clemente also told us, but no job offers yet.
