La La Anthony addresses the Honey Nut Cheerios controversy involving her husband, Carmelo Anthony, and new Brooklyn Net Kevin Garnett on the upcoming season of her VH1 reality show, “La La’s Full Court Life.” Trash-talking Garnett allegedly told Melo his wife “tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios” while playing the Knicks last season with the Celtics. La La sounds off about the beef in a trailer for her show, Page Six has learned, saying: “This year we had a tough time as a family. The Honey Nut Cheerio thing was so stupid. I’m very protective over my husband and my son, and you don’t want people feeling like they have the right to judge who you are and how you handle certain things.” Coincidentally, the season also follows La La as she writes a relationship book for Penguin, which she began work on before the Cheerios blowup. The VH1 show’s season tips off July 14. La La on Sunday celebrated her 34th birthday in Las Vegas at the Bank at the Bellagio with Kevin Hart, Regina Hall and Romany Malco after attending the BET Awards in Los Angeles.
