NYC power art pair Marc and Andrea Glimcher divorcing

Power New York art couple Marc and Andrea Glimcher are divorcing after 10 years of marriage — but insist their split is so amicable they will even continue to work together at the prestigious Pace Gallery.

The Pace Gallery owner and son of legendary art dealer Arne Glimcher, who built Pace into one of the most powerful contemporary art galleries in the world, began dating Andrea after years of working together at the company. Arnie handed over Pace to Marc in 2011.

Andrea recently told Harper’s Bazaar about when he asked her on a date and she said, “If this doesn’t work out, how are we going to work together? . . . Marc said, ‘Don’t worry about it. If my father has to decide, he’ll pick you.’ ”

But a source told us, “The divorce is very extremely friendly — in fact so amicable that they are even using the same divorce lawyer — and Andrea will continue to work alongside Marc in a leadership role at the gallery.”

A spokesperson for the couple exclusively confirmed to Page Six, “Andrea and Marc have decided to divorce after 10 years of marriage. The split is amicable, and Andrea is staying in her current role at the gallery for the foreseeable future. Their only concern at the moment is their children, and they ask that people respect the family’s privacy at this time.”

Pace boasts numerous galleries worldwide, including a London flagship directly north of the Royal Academy of Arts, four New York sites, including one on East 57th Street in Manhattan, and a Beijing gallery.

The gallery represents the estates and careers of more than 50 of the world’s leading artists, including Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, Robert Ryman, Agnes Martin, Jean Dubuffet, Chuck Close and Zhang Xiaogang. Sales top $400 million a year.

The couple, who have a daughter, Katharine, and a son, Alexander, are both being represented by power attorney Nancy Chemtob, who was not available for comment yesterday.
