Is the actual emancipation of Mimi upon us?
Since Page Six revealed Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been living separately, more supporting evidence that the couple of six years is headed toward a split has come to light.
Carey, 45, and Cannon, 33, wed in 2008 and have publicly renewed their vows every year — except this year.
“I mean the year before, we kind of went over the top with Disneyland so we kind of wanted to reel it in this year so everybody doesn’t think that we try to do that every single year,” Cannon told Parade in May.
The “America’s Got Talent” host, who famously tattooed his wife’s first name on his back, went on to deny rumors of marital troubles. “If you paid attention to it, it actually probably would start really affecting you,” he said. “There’s no merit or truth to it. It’s kind of humorous really. It couldn’t be further from the truth, and it really affects credibility of the so-called newspapers.”
To further fuel the speculation that their marriage, which spawned twins Monroe and Moroccan Scott, is on the rocks, Cannon’s Instagram account is no longer active and he hasn’t appeared in a single Instagram from Carey since Father’s Day on June 15 and they haven’t been photographed together in months. Cannon was formerly a fixture in the “Butterfly” singer’s pictures, from happy vacations in Aspen, to balmy nights in the hot tub with the kids.
Carey has since captured similar moments with the kids without Cannon — including braving the storm on July 3 (at top).
