Never let it be said that Madonna is softening with age.
The 55-year-old pop icon posted a photo of what she wanted to wear to Monday night’s Met Ball: a barely-there ensemble that appeared to be made of straps and left little to the imagination.
“What i wanted to wear to Met Ball but Anna said Not this year! So I’m gonna work on music instead?#artforfreedom,” the singer wrote alongside the racy image.
Although Madge managed to provide her own “censored” tag across her bust, the snapshot still showed off the singer’s extremely toned silhouette.
While it’s unclear whether she was joking about seeking Vogue editor Anna Wintour‘s approval, the mother of four did not attend this year’s Met Ball.
But even in an era when Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of Wintour’s fashion bible, it seems unlikely she’d approve of this.
