Elton John made sure his loved ones stayed cozy through the holidays. The “Rocket Man” legend was spotted spending $30,000 on 12 cashmere robes at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills on Christmas Eve. According to a spy, the store clerk took a long time taking his payment. But gentlemanly John turned to customers behind him and said, “I apologize for holding the queue up. I’ll be right out in a moment.” The wife of a couple standing behind him responded, “No, take your time. It’s a pleasure to watch someone shop like that. I only wish I could.” John laughed, and then her husband chimed in, “Believe me, she tries. That’s why I’m chaperoning this trip here.” Everyone chuckled, and soon after that John was off with his goods, later spotted making a stop at Barneys. A rep for Neiman Marcus said, “We never comment on any customer’s private transactions.”
