Justin Theroux says he’s the one who invented the concept of selling crappy beer to hipsters for exorbitant prices when he was still a downtown bartender.

“I still take credit for the idea of selling cheap beer for lots of money,” Jennifer Aniston’s fiancé says in Details’ new issue.

“It was a whim,” recalls the actor, who last tended at beer and wine bar Von on Bleecker Street, where he stenciled the bar’s logo on the front window (which is still there).

“I was like, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny to sell Schlitz and Pabst Blue Ribbon up there with all the great wheat beers?’ We added every horrible beer we could think of and charged four bucks for them. Those beers ended up outselling Chimay, everything.”
