Norman Mailer was known for hosting epic parties at the Brooklyn Heights home he designed to look like a ship for guests including John Lennon, Woody Allen and Bob Dylan. Its current resident, the author’s film producer son Michael Mailer, channeled his dad’s spirit for his birthday bash there Friday. “My dad threw these terrific parties with 100 to 125 people,” mused Mailer as political and showbiz players Edward Rollins, Andrew Stein, Max Kennedy, James Toback, “Divergent” director Neil Burger and Griffin Dunne circulated with Taki Theodoracopulos and fellow b-day boy Joe Driscoll. Clair Reilly-Roe performed, and, “It brought me back to the parties he used to throw,” Mailer said.
