DJ Avicii ill with gall bladder woe, cancels Miami shows

Superstar DJ Avicii has pulled out of his highly anticipated gigs at the Winter Music Conference in Miami because he’s fallen ill and will likely have his gall bladder removed, Page Six has learned.

The “Wake Me Up” performer was scheduled to appear Thursday at the SLS Hotel, renamed the “Avicii Hotel” during the weeklong music festival.

But hours before the gig, the Swedish DJ was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pain.

Fellow record-spinner DJ Alesso took over the turntables.

On Friday, Avicii was diagnosed with a blocked gall bladder and was “being evaluated for a potential surgery to remove his gall bladder,” his management team stated.

They then canceled his headlining performance Saturday during Miami’s three-day ULTRA Music Festival.

This isn’t Avicii’s first medical crisis. In 2012 — the same year he raked in $20 million as one of the world’s highest-paid DJs — he was hospitalized for pancreatitis, and admitted to heavy drinking and partying over 300 tour stops in a year.

He was hospitalized last March with the same condition.
