Chris Kirkpatrick has admitted that he and his fellow ‘N Sync’s bandmates were NOT present at Justin Timberlake’s nuptials with actress Jessica Biel.
The former boy bander, who also happened to be vacationing Italy at the same time as the wedding, confessed to Orlando morning radio show Johnny’s House that the band was not invited.
“I wasn’t invited to the wedding and from what I know it’s because he didn’t want all of us there,” he said.
He added that Timberlake didn’t want his former boyband to steal the spotlight from his bride.
“It would be a reunion rather than a wedding,” said Kirkpatrick. “It was her day. She’s amazing so he wanted to make sure it was about her.”
Kirkpatrick explained that reports of him attending Timberlake’s lavish Puglia wedding were false. He also said that while he was in Italy at the same time, “it’s not like we were right next door to each other…we were on an island.”
“It wasn’t hard feelings on anybody. We were at the engagement party,” he said.
Incidentally, Kirkpatrick was on a pre-planned birthday trip to Capri where he also proposed to his girlfriend of two and a half years, marketing rep Karly Skladany.
He said he knew about the Timberlake-Biel wedding ceremony but joked that ferrying from Naples to the ceremony would be too hard on his wallet (admittedly it was literally a small price to pay).
“It was $17 per person from Capri to Naples just to get back and forth on the ferry,” he said. “We were such cheapskates.”
However, the host then flipped the question to Kirkpatrick when he asked if 41-year-old would invite the mega-boyband to his own wedding.
Kirkpatrick admitted that not only would he invite the band to attend his nuptials, he “might even ask them to be in it.”
