Rahm Emanuel: enough politics

Former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel says don’t expect him to run as the first ever Jewish Commander-in-Chief. “Not happening,” Emanuel, now mayor of Chicago, declared about his political future in Jason Binn’s Du Jour magazine, saying of his current post, “This is the last job in electoral politics, in public life.” Of continuing for longer: “No. Not happening. Or won’t be married if so.” Of working with Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Emanuel said, “[Clinton] was a president who did great things, and the American people agree with me. His presidency was a landmark presidency. Both he and Obama will be seen as essential figures in changing the post-Vietnam Lyndon B. Johnson party . . . I loved working with both presidents, who I consider friends of mine. Loved it.”
