LiLo: Tax mess ‘not my fault’

Just when things couldn’t get worse for troubled star Lindsay Lohan, they have. After an alleged nightclub punch-up, and rotten reviews for her comeback role as Elizabeth Taylor, the IRS has seized her bank assets to cover unpaid income taxes totalling $233,904, sources say.

Earlier this year, the IRS slapped two liens on Lohan, of $140,203 and $93,701, for unpaid taxes in 2009 and 2010. And she’s also on the hook for unpaid 2011 taxes.

A source close to Lohan tells us, “Lindsay is freaking out. And she’s doing what she always does, which is to say it’s not her fault and point the finger at someone else in her team. She says she didn’t know anything about it . . . she’s broke and it’s not her fault.”

Now her managers are desperately trying to strike a deal to repay the money. “The people hired to take care of it are taking care of it and it will be resolved by the end of the year,” another source close to Lohan tells us, adding the bank seizure was just part of the “process.”

Charlie Sheen gave her $100,000 to help cover the mounting debts. But another friend adds, “Lindsay is a disaster with money. But she’s a hustler and always finds somebody at the last minute to bail her out.”

Of course, Michael Lohan says his daughter’s problems won’t be solved unless she heads to rehab, and he adds that Sheen should’ve put a condition on his cash infusion.

“It was really generous of him,’’ Michael told The Post’s Kieran Crowley. “But he should have said, ‘I’ll give you the money for your taxes if you go into treatment.’ ” Lindsay’s reportedly been guzzling liters of vodka daily.

Michael says, “I have people who will help her with her IRS problems.’’ Naturally, he blames his ex Dina for their daughter’s financial woes, in part because LiLo gave Dina $40,000 to keep her Long Island home from foreclosure.

Lohan’s on course to earn $2 million this year, including a delayed $1 million for a Playboy shoot plus $300,000 from “Liz and Dick” and a reported $200,000 for a cameo in “Scary Movie 5.”
