Angelina Jolie plans to ‘give up acting’

Angelina Jolie admitted in a new interview that she plans on retiring once her kids get older.

“I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home,” the mom of six says in an interview with Britain’s Channel 4.

She acknowledges that her humanitarian work for the United Nations has been more rewarding than acting on the whole.

“I have enjoyed being an actress,” Jolie, 37, explained. “I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but…”

She continued: “But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children. I wake up in the morning as a mom and I turn on the news like everybody else and I see what’s happening and I want to be part of the world in a positive way.”

Still, the actress will keep busy until the near future. According to her IMDB, she has projects lined up until 2016’s “Kung Fu Panda 3” and the announced “Salt 2.”

Coincidentally, her longtime partner Brad Pitt, 48, also revealed his exit strategy, telling Australia’s “60 Minutes” that he plans to step behind the camera when he turns 50.
