Hollywood braces for more names in sordid ‘sex ring’

Hollywood is bracing for more power players to be named in the bombshell lawsuits that have accused “X-Men” director Bryan Singer and others of sexually attacking underage boys at wild sex parties years ago. Accuser Michael Egan, 31, is suing Singer as well as execs Garth Ancier, David Neuman and Gary Goddard for their alleged participation in a “sordid sex ring” where minors were plied with drugs and booze, then sexually abused at parties when Egan was 17. Sources said Hollywood circles are gripped by fear over who could be named next.

Egan’s claims have so far only been filed in Hawaii, but could expand to California courts. Singer’s attorney Martin Singer has denied the allegations as “completely fabricated,” while Ancier, Neuman and Goddard also deny his claims.

But, adding fuel to the fire, filmmaker Amy Berg has been making a doc about the alleged sex rings and told The Wrap, “It [underage sex] is a huge problem . . . It’s much bigger than … the one case.” Egan’s mom, Bonnie Mound, also says she urged the FBI to investigate her son’s claims in 1999, but that an agent’s interview with Egan didn’t result in charges.

Reports add, however, that Egan didn’t tell the FBI about Singer or the other newly named execs, but named other men — including a convicted sex offender named Marc Collins-Rector — who owned a mansion where Egan says some of the insidious sex parties took place. An FBI rep said any claim that the agency ignored evidence “is ludicrous.”
