‘50 Shades’ screenwriter promises ‘raunchy’ film

Looks like we shouldn’t bring grandma to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, as the highly anticipated big screen adaptation won’t be toning down the book’s explicit content.

“There is going to be a lot of sex in the film,” said screenwriter Kelly Marcel in an interview with The Sunday Times. “It will be rated NC-17. It’s going to be raunch.”

She added, “We are 100% going there.”

The British scribe was tapped by Universal Pictures and Focus Features to translate the E. L. James’s erotic best-seller for the big screen.

She said she holed up for 10 days in a hotel room alongside James, “poring” over the BDSM world of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

The “Terra Nova” writer decided to stay as true to the illicit content as possible but not every sex scene made the cut.

“We did go through and decide which are our favorites and which are not,” she said. “Most of them are in there, but I can’t say more than that.”

As for who will play the smoldering lead role, Marcel remains tight-lipped.

“Ha-ha! No actor would sign up to a film without a script. That would be insane,” she said.

Names like Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder and Ryan Gosling have been tossed around to play the kinky tycoon.
