WATCH: Tarantino snaps, ‘I’m not your slave’ in response to question about movie violence

Quentin Tarantino has had enough with reporters trying to connect the violence in his films to real-life violence.

The quirky auteur blew up during a recent sit-down with Krishnan Guru-Murthy of Britain’s Channel 4 when the question came up.

“Why are you so sure that there’s no link between enjoying movie violence and enjoying real violence?” Guru-Murthy asked the director, who was in London for the British premiere of “Django Unchained.”

Tarantino quickly rebuffed, “Don’t ask me a question like that. I’m not biting. I refuse your question.”

“I’m not your slave and you’re not my master,” Tarantino snapped. “You can’t make me dance to your tune. I’m not a monkey.”

To his credit, Guru-Murthy pressed on, asking over and over why Tarantino wouldn’t respond to the question.

“It’s none of your damn business what I think about that!” Tarantino exclaimed.

“Well, it’s my job to ask you why you think that because…”

Tarantino retorted, “And I’m saying no! And I’m shutting you down.”

The issue of violence in movies has come under increased scrutiny since last month’s tragedy in Newtown, Conn.

But Tarantino, who’s behind shoot-‘em-up fare like “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction” and the “Kill Bill” films, has repeatedly said he believes there’s no connection between violent films and real-life shootings.

In a recent interview on NPR’s “Fresh Air” he said it was “disrespectful” to the 20 kids and 6 adults who were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School last month to continue investigating that issue.
