Beyonce announces Destiny’s Child reunion

Destiny’s Child will be releasing its first new material in nearly a decade.

Beyonce broke the news on her Web site: “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years! – Beyonce.”

“Love Songs” will be a collection of Destiny’s Child’s most romantic tracks along with at least one new song called “Nuclear,” according to ET.

The trio, consisting of the “Single Ladies” singer, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, were one of the most successful performers of the early 2000s. They sold more than 50 million records worldwide and are known for hits like “Survivor” and “Bootylicious.”

The reunion comes as a bit of a surprise, as Rowland dismissed rumors of a re-teaming in August.

“We have a good time together, and I think that’s the most important thing,” she told MTV News. “We don’t want to scratch each other’s eyes out; we love each other too much.”

We hope the ladies keep it together.
