The “X Factor” judging lineup has new faces Kelly Rowland and Mexican superstar Paulina Rubio joining Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato. But sources tell us Cowell had discussed an “American Idol” reunion with original judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson — but the plan was abandoned. A source close to the show said, “The day after Randy quit ‘Idol,’ one ‘The X Factor’ producer put forward the idea of bringing Randy, Paula and Simon back together. But it wasn’t taken to the next level, as Simon had already agreed they liked the idea of more women on the panel and were set on Paulina and Kelly to join him and Demi.” The source added, “Simon, Randy and Paula have remained great friends since ‘Idol.’ ”
