Oscar De La Hoya KOs Playboy model in legal battle

Oscar De La Hoya has won another round in his bruising legal battle with Maxim and Playboy model Angelica Cecora. The “Golden Boy” was celebrating last night after an appellate court knocked out Cecora’s appeal against the dismissal of her case. The petite blonde had accused De La Hoya of intimidating her and causing “emotional distress” during an allegedly drug-fueled sex romp at the Ritz-Carlton on Central Park South in March 2011. The suit included allegations that De La Hoya had dressed up in her lingerie and had Cecora and her roommate perform sex acts on him. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Paul Wooten ruled Cecora’s claims of “false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress were without merit.” Cecora also has to pay $15,000 in fees. De La Hoya’s lawyer J
udd Burstein told us, “This has been a disgraceful case from the outset. The appellate court recognized this by upholding the sanctions. This case should be a message to those people who think that suing a celebrity is the route to easy money.”
