Billionaire Kirk Kerkorian’s ex-wife Lisa Bonder Kerkorian is insisting she’s filed conservatorship papers to “protect” the 95-year-old, but sources see it as a ploy to get her hands on more of the mogul’s cash.

Lisa, 47, filed court documents this week claiming Kirk — who was “King of the Strip” with Vegas resorts including MGM — hasn’t been seen in public since June 2012, is sick, and that managers of his Tracinda Corp. are “holding him captive.”

But sources tell Page Six Lisa may be trying to squeeze money out of Kerkorian before he’s no longer obligated to pay child support to their 15-year-old daughter, Kira, who is not Kirk’s biological child. “Even though she’s not his, Kirk loves this girl,” says an insider. “He gives her $100,000 a month. What his ex is worried about is what happens when the child support stops.”

Lisa’s lawyer, Michael L. Trope, said: “I’m sure that’s what his people are alleging. The purposes of a conservatorship is to . . . prevent people from taking his money. Appointing a conservator doesn’t give Lisa money. It provides a court-appointed person to make sure he doesn’t get ripped off.” Trope added, “Lisa wants to protect him because of what she perceives to be his present state.”

Lisa and Kirk had a nasty 1999 divorce, during which she admitted she had faked a DNA paternity test and — after Kirk raised Kira as his daughter and agreed to pay $100,000 monthly support — that Kira’s real father is Steve Bing.

Despite rumors about his health, insiders tell us Kirk is perky for his age. “Kirk is 96 next month,” says the source. “He went to the doctor two weeks ago. They met at the Polo Lounge for a drink. Yes, he sees his doctor at the Polo Lounge.”

The insiders believe Lisa may also be worried about Kirk’s ever-flowing well of new girlfriends. “It’s not about that,” Lisa’s lawyer countered. “Lisa hasn’t had a relationship with [him] on a romantic level for 13 years. He was recently engaged to Rodney Dangerfield’s widow, Joan, and broke it off to be engaged to another woman, Lu Beard, at 95.” Kirk’s reps declined to comment.
