Sundance bigs stiff local taxis

Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton gave a $100 tip to a taxi driver in Park City for letting him and “his five dates” warm up in his car for five minutes, but not everyone at Sundance was quite so nice.

“Each talent agent from CAA that I have driven limo/taxi for at the Sundance Film Festival has been a self-absorbed, plotting, deviant, arrogant, slutty and cheap S.O.B. ” says a local cabbie who asked to remain anonymous.

“When we dropped the CAA ‘lady’ off, she refused to pay the fare because, as she explained, ‘I’m not drunk, so don’t take advantage of me.’ ”

He also took aim at the talent, saying one of the actors at the festival “rounded up two ladies,” and “had me drop him off on the way, without so much as a thank you, tip or fare.”

The disgruntled driver concludes, “I guess the take-away is that the spirit of ‘Ari Gold’ is alive . . . I am so glad that these morons only get to pollute our community just 10 days a year.”

While it was not possible to confirm the cabbie’s passengers were actual CAA agents, a spokesperson for the agency declined to comment.
