Sharon Stone has strongly denied a report that she has embarked on a secret romance with Antonio Banderas following his split with Melanie Griffith.
The actress said the report, by British magazine Grazia, was “salacious, unkind, unfounded,” adding she was a close friend of both Antonio and Melanie, who are divorcing after 18 years together.
Stone said in a statement, “Antonio is a brother to me and Melanie has been with me for each and every birth of my three children.”
“They are my family. I find this salacious, unkind, unfounded reporting to be the typical pretense of what passes as ‘journalism’ today.”
Grazia had claimed that Banderas and Stone, 56, were “closer than ever” and were “making plans for a getaway together in July.”
