Tina Fey failed to pay worker’s compensation insurance: lawsuit

“Bossypants” author and actress Tina Fey shirked her managerial duties by failing to pay workers’ compensation insurance for over a year, according to a $79,000 judgment entered against the Emmy Award-winning comedian.

New York State’s Workers’ Compensation Board recently filed a lawsuit against Fey in Manhattan Supreme Court because the actress was over a month behind on the payment.

Fey did not have the necessary insurance from Nov. 20, 2012 through Feb. 2, 2014, according to court papers.

The suit does not say how many or what type of employees Fey failed to cover, but lists the 43-year-old Manhattanite as employer.

The W. 55th Street address listed on the complaint is for the “30 Rock” producer’s company Little Stranger Inc.

Reps for Fey did not immediately return requests seeking comment.
