“The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd strained to read the teleprompter during her opening remarks at the WE TV and Ladies’ Home Journal’s first WE Do Good Awards at Espace in Midtown. But she wasn’t ready to wear specs. “I can’t do the reading glasses, I haven’t got my husband yet,” she quipped to the audience, which included Kelly Rutherford, Andie MacDowell, Ally Sheedy and MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer. “I went to Jay-Z’s club, [40/40] and it’s just not sexy when you’re dropping it like it’s hot and your reading glasses fall out.”
