Spike Jonze and Vice founder Shane Smith detained in Yemen while filming MTV series

Spike Jonze and Vice magazine founder Shane Smith were detained in Yemen while filming their search for al Qaeda for an MTV investigative series that premieres Dec. 6 — “The Vice Guide to Everything.” They avoided jail and retrieved their footage with an $8,000 political bribe.
