Golfer Dustin Johnson may have more in common with Tiger Woods than just being one of the longest hitters on the tour. Johnson panicked last year when Woods’ women broke their silence because he also had at least one scorned lover who might be willing to talk. A former New York flame, who asked not to be named, told us Johnson called her nervously “two minutes after the Woods story broke” to apologize for dumping her without a word the day before a planned getaway to the Bahamas in October 2009. She later learned that he was staying with his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Caulder. “After three months, he called to apologize,” she told us. “I jokingly said, ‘Wow, this thing really has you nervous, but I’m not saying anything. If you’re not married, nobody cares.’ ” Until now. Johnson is in hot water after his new romance with LPGA poster girl Natalie Gulbis was announced, apparently before he told Caulder. NBC Sports reported that he withdrew from the Sony Open to “take care of some things at home,” likely some explaining to Caulder.
