Dita von Teese was surrounded by wide-eyed admirers as she hosted a Cinco de Mayo party at Los Feliz Thursday. The raven-haired, porcelain-skinned burlesque star, in New York to launch her signature cocktail, the Cointreau MargaDita, told us that she works hard to maintain her famously sultry looks. She said: “I don’t have a team working with me, I do my own hair and make-up. Like other women, I was worrying that I couldn’t do anything with my hair tonight. I don’t have a stylist, I get all my clothes myself.” Dita, in a Jenny Packham dress, sipped cocktails until 1 a.m. with fellow burlesque stars, including Dirty Martini, Murray Hill and Perle Noire, as well as 92-year-old style legend Ilona Royce Smithkin. Earlier, Dita had filmed an appearance on the Wendy Williams’ show, where she was asked to cover up her ample cleavage shown off to devastating effect in a red Roland Mouret dress. She tweeted: “Wardrobe dept at @WendyWilliams show came at me with the intention of censoring my cleavage w/scraps of lace.” She declined the censoring.
