Married Google chairman Eric Schmidt is dating Lisa Shields, a beautiful New York-based executive at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Multibillionaire Schmidt, 56, has been repeatedly seen out with the attractive 45-year-old brunette, a vice president for communications and marketing for the prestigious organization and think tank which promotes understanding of America’s foreign policy.
Schmidt, still married to his wife, Wendy, was recently spotted with Shields dining at Tutto il Giorno in Southampton, and the pair have also been spending time at a summer rental in the Hamptons.
One source told Page Six, “Lisa has spent a lot of time traveling with Eric and on his yacht Oasis in the Caribbean and the South of France.”
Another tells us that Schmidt, worth $7 billion, met Shields at a party last summer, and they began dating shortly after. He was a guest at Shields’ holiday brunch at her East 16th Street apartment last December.
The source told us, “She has been telling friends that they are dating, and they have been going out openly in New York and the Hamptons as a couple.”
Shields, a divorced mother, is a former producer at ABC News. She was linked to Andrew Cuomo in 2004 after he separated from his former wife, Kerry Kennedy, and before he began dating Sandra Lee.
Schmidt, who has been linked to other women before, has been in Indonesia holding talks with Vice President Boediono in Jakarta, where Google plans to open an office. He is due to spend the weekend with Shields in the Hamptons, sources tell us.
Google corporate communications director Jill Hazelbaker didn’t return calls and e-mails. Shields declined to comment last night. Staffers at her office said she was “on vacation and not available for comment.”
