Aaron and Bryce Dessner, the twin guitar gods of Brooklyn indie band The National, told the crowd at a Prospect Park gig this week that their sister had gone into labor.
Onstage Thursday for the last of a three-day run, the twins said her water had broken during their previous night’s show.
That prompted band frontman Matt Berninger to crack, “I tried to think of a funny joke about water breaking, but everything I’d thought of was inappropriate. So, you’re welcome.”
