Katie Couric has a new boyfriend, sources told the Huffington Post Monday.
“Katie told a friend she was dating again a couple of months ago but has not revealed many details — except that he is in finance and that she is very happy,” said a friend of the 55-year-old TV personality.
Couric, whose new ABC talk show “Katie” kicks off in September, split from Brooks Perlin in December after five years of dating.
The veteran journalist and the handsome Brooks, 17 years Katie’s junior, just “decided it was time to go their separate ways,” a source told the New York Post at the time.
Couric, who lost her husband Jay Monahan to colon cancer in 1998, met Perlin in 2006 at a New York event to raise money for cancer research.
She has two daughters from her marriage to Monahan: Ellie, 20, and 16-year-old Carrie.
