Sweaty stars, fabulous fashion

The huge premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises” had cops and crowds. Bigger movie mob than gathers to aim spitballs at a Mel Gibson poster.

Morgan Freeman, Christian Bale, Gary Oldman sprouted beards. Since “The Dark Knight” opened on a sunny night, bristle shone on certain ladies, too.

Best-looking chassis belonged to three: Mrs. Christian Bale, Mrs. Donald Trump and that Chrysler Batmobile, which lights up when you turn it on. My information is, so do the other two.

Melania Trump: “I’m not a kid. I remember the original ‘Batman’ comics.”

Donald told even stalled bus drivers: “They used the face of Trump Tower for this movie. They shot with the fake sign ‘Wayne Enterprises’ over it.” When he saw me he hugged me, kissed me, then whispered to me: “Only because it’s you, I’ll tell you something special that nobody else knows. They used the face of Trump Tower for this movie. They shot with the fake sign ‘Wayne Enterprises’ over it.”

Anne Hathaway. So, as a kid, was she a devotee of those crapola comic strips like “Batman”?

“They weren’t really crapola,” she said. “I wasn’t into ‘Superman,’ but I watched the ‘Batman’ series. I liked it.” And her long white number? “Prabal Gurung.” Her ears testify she’s doing well. Diamond studs.

Morgan Freeman in black suit, black shirt, black tie, black shoes: “I was a real comic-book fan. I ate up everything. ‘Captain Marvel,’ ‘The Green Hornet,’ ‘Green Lantern,’ ‘Spider-Man.’ In this movie, when Batman gets far out, then my character holds his hand and reins him in. I loved making this.” Enough to want to do it a second time? “Only when I played Nelson Mandela in ‘Invictus’ would I do anything over again.”

Christian “Batman” Bale: “I was never into those comic book he-man action things. Never a fan. Not my style. For me it was more watching ‘Star Wars.’ ”

For me, it was watching his wife. Diamond bracelet, diamond necklace, black leather-trimmed sheath at an elegant length. “Narciso Rodriguez,” Sibi said. Did you get a discount? “I certainly hope so.”

Gary Oldman: “I play Police Commissioner Gordon. When I first came to New York, my career was a year old. I went to this same Broadway cinema and saw Adam West, who’d done TV’s ‘Batman’ series. Life’s full of surprises. Who’d think someday I’d be in this movie.” And be so famous and rich? “Rich I don’t know. The IRS has confiscated most of it.”

On this sweltering night, most invitees looked unappealing. Bowlegged guys in tighttight cigarette pants and sneakers. Gals with Papa Bear legs, hems higher than their expectations, toenails in green, fingernails in black.

The film was scheduled for 7 p.m. When I left, 7:30, the stars were still posing for photos.

BROOKE Astor, Mickey Rooney, now Zsa Zsa Gabor elder abuse stories. With Zsa Zsa I stay personally involved. My husband and she worked for years in a nightclub act. I’ve done a book about the family. I’ve known her for years. I care deeply.

Francesca Hilton was blocked from seeing her mother for years. Frédérick von Anhalt has not allowed wife Zsa Zsa’s only child home and hospital visits nor shared with her medical, psychological or financial information.

Francesca’s Beverly Hills spokesman Edward Lozzi: “As of last week he can no longer claim he has Miss Gabor’s power of attorney.”

Francesca’s California lawyer, Panitz and Kossoff’s Ken Kossoff: “We have won. Until Jan. 9 or until we’re back to court to mitigate or modify the ruling, we have adjusted the most onerous conditions.”

Francesca: “As you know, this has taken forever to accomplish. My lawyers now get monthly bank statements and canceled checks to monitor mother’s money. The court order restricts selling, refinancing or doing anything with her house. A $250,000 bond was required lest there be misappropriation or funding press conferences and parties at mother’s house. Los Angeles Superior Court has also ordered a $100,000 untouchable bank account. Since it’s all my mother’s money, there must in future be full accounting.”

Lozzi: “Francesca wasn’t permitted visitation. Now, on 24-hour notice so it can’t be said it’s inconvenient, she’s allowed one hour once a week visits — alone — without him in the room but with a caretaker, lawyer or officer present and the door shut.”

Kossoff: “I now get copies of Miss Gabor’s medical records to assure her care. Mr. von Anhalt has a six-month ‘trial basis’ as temporary conservator of her person and estate.”

I asked Francesca does Zsa Zsa recognize her?

“Yes. She squeezes my hand. She knows me. She mouths a few words. I’m now allowed even on holidays such as Christmas or her birthday. She once called me ‘The Brat,’ so it’s how I announce myself. I say, ‘Mother, The Brat’s here.’ ”

Only in Los Angeles, kids, only in Los Angeles.
