Halle Berry taken to hospital after film accident

Halle Berry was injured during a fight scene for her upcoming movie “The Hive” and rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, the Oscar winner’s rep said today.

Berry was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at about 10 p.m., where she was treated for the minor head injury. She was released a short time later and isn’t expected to miss any time filming.

Sources told TMZ that the actress starting throwing up after she fell, a sign of a possible concussion.

Berry’s publicist Meredith O’Sullivan said the 45-year-old actress was not seriously hurt and the hospital visit was strictly a precaution.

“Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, ‘The Hive,’ ” O’Sullivan said.

“She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She’ll continue production as planned.”

Reps for Troika Pictures and WWE Studios, which are producing “The Hive,” could not be immediately reached for comment.

“The Hive” also stars Abigail Breslin and David Otunga. The thrilled is about an emergency operator, forced to confront a killer from her past, according to IMDB.com.

This is at least the second time Berry has been hurt on the job in the past year.

She broke her foot in September while filming “Cloud Atlas” in Spain. The injury was serious enough to keep Berry off Oscar’s red carpet five months later in Tinseltown.
